Who we are
Hire4i is a recruitment and talent solutions consultancy in Chennai, India. For the personal data you give us through this website, Hire4i is the data fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
What we collect
- Candidates: name, email, mobile number, location, experience, skills, current and expected salary, and your résumé.
- Employers: your name, company, contact details, the role you want to fill, and any job description you upload.
- Partners: your name, firm, contact details and the domains you recruit for.
- Contact form: your name, contact details and your message.
We also process basic technical data, such as your IP address and browser type, to keep the site secure and to stop spam.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry or application.
- To match candidates with suitable roles and to manage the recruitment process.
- To work with employers and partner recruiters on agreed requirements.
- To keep the website and our systems secure.
We process your data on the basis of the consent you give when you submit a form. We share a candidate's profile with a client only after we contact the candidate and the candidate agrees. We do not sell personal data.
Who processes it for us
We use trusted service providers who process data only on our instructions:
- Cloudflare: hosting, database and secure file storage, and the Turnstile check that stops spam on our forms.
- Resend: delivery of the confirmation and notification emails we send.
These providers can store or process data on servers outside India.
How long we keep it
We keep candidate profiles and résumés for up to 24 months after your last contact with us, so that we can consider you for new roles. We keep employer, partner and contact enquiries for as long as we have a business relationship and for up to 24 months after it ends. We can keep some records longer when the law requires it. After that, we delete the data.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you can:
- Ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct, complete or update it.
- Withdraw your consent and ask us to delete your data.
- Nominate another person to act for you if you die or become unable to act.
- Raise a grievance with us, and then with the Data Protection Board of India.
Candidates can write to hr@hire4i.com. Everyone else can write to contact@hire4i.com. We reply within 30 days.
Grievance officer
For any complaint about how we handle your personal data, write to our Grievance Officer at contact@hire4i.com with the subject "Data protection".
Security
We store files in private storage that only signed-in Hire4i staff can open, and we record each download. No system is fully secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page.
